Recount Writing-At the Pools.

I am learning to use the correct structure and language for recount writing.

At the Pools.

26.07.17.

On Saturday afternoon it was a hot blazing day and I went to the Pools. I was excited to go to the Pools. I put on my togs and  I went into the  Pool. It was as cold as ice and I dived in the pool. When I got in the water I was freezing. My body was shaking. I was putting my face in the water. I started racing my brothers and sisters. My brother Zephaniah won because he is fast at swimming.

After that I was hungry and I asked my Nan, “Can we go to the Fish and chips shop?” Nan said, “Yes.” So we brought our fish and chips. Then we bought some sauce at New World and we  brought a drink of water.

After our yummy fish and chips we went home. It was an awesome day.

At my Mum and Dad’s house.

On Saturday morning I went to my Mum and Dad's house in Hamilton to visit my Mum and Dad. I went with my Nanny and Papa. I felt excited to see my Mum and Dad.  

I was happy to see my Mum and Dad. I gave them a big hug and we had lunch. We had a Banana slice with m&ms, cream, minties, sprinkles and ice cream. It was as cold as ice and it was yum. After that lunch my dad gave me a haircut and it was a cool one. I had a Joseph Parker line on the side of my hair.

After my haircut I watched Smurfs 3. I said, “That was a cool movie.” Then I went for a walk with my Dad. We went to the shop to buy food and then my Nanny and Papa came to pick me up.

Te Reo Maori

I have been learning the names of things in our classroom in Te Reo Maori.

I have also been learning Tenei and Tena.

Toku Pepeha.

I have been learning to say my Pepeha with confidence.

Term 2 Goal setting

I have achieved all of my Learning Goals.

At the Park

On Saturday afternoon I went to Hamilton with my Nana and Papa to visit my Mum and Dad. It was dark when we got to Hamilton. We went to my Uncle’s house to stay and we watched TV.

When I woke up in the morning my Dad said to me, “It  is time to go to the park.”

At the park Yay.  and we played tag and I got my sister.

After that me and my sister said, “It is good playing tag.” Our family had a great time at the park.

Then we had lunch at the fish and chips shop and that was yum.  “This is Yum,” I said to my Mum.

It was an excellent day because we were with our Mum and Dad.

My Speech 2017

Here I am delivering my speech at the Tautoro School Junior Speech competition.

The judges were marking me on showing confidence, good pace

and volume, speaking clearly, audience connection, use of gestures and timing.
